Currently, the VFD(Variable speed driver) + AC motor pumps system is used to achieve the constant pressure. But efficiency is not high, there is a lot of energy waste of this systems. Because the efficiency of AC motor reduce sharply while excess the rated speed. Compared to AC motors, brushless DC motors have higher efficiency for a wide speeds. Therefore, the brushless DC motor+ controller is tending to replace the VFD+AC motor pump system.
